During high school, I was managing the very first official club in my school which I have founded and named SFC. It aims to discuss astronomy with students, make activities to make school more lively, and help students with their college applications. I have interned in a health insurance company called DAMAN for two weeks where I got used to the work environment and co working with other employees.

TKOP

TKOP (The Keen Ones Project) is a club that achieves the same goals as SFC, to prepare and educate school students about higher education. We attended weekly meetings to discuss our plans, budgets, and how to execute the program on Grinnell Middle School. As a member I was assigned as mentor in TKOP since I had experience in high school.

AT&T Summer Learning Academy Extern

AT&T launched a summer academy for all education levels. It is designed to incorporate 80 hours of work across the summer. The course included multiple IT and computer science related courses such as web development, and video game programming. Multiple speakers have been brought up in the academy such as the CEO of Khan Academy.

Grinnell College Campus Safety Dispatcher

I worked at Grinnell College campus safety as a dispatcher handling dispatching officers, emergency calls, students and faculty in distress, fire and heat alarms, building checks and walk throughs, and much more. I developed my multitasking capabilities to it's fullest since I needed to handle multiple cases at once.

Summer 2

World Logistics Passport

Placed into operations department, I worked alongside my supervisor in researching the Senegalese coffee market. Following that, I was given a project by the head of WLP which tasked me to create an algorithm for data profiling members and customers without the use of customs. With that, I managed to create a skeleton of the algorithm and presented it to the team and the head. Finally, I was taken to DMCC to accompany and guide one of the coffee suppliers working with us.

Sophomore

Grinnell College Community Advisor

I have been chosen as a CA for Loosehead cluster at Grinnell College. I will be overlooking and leading students in my halls to their optimal decisions in their time of distress, and I have been assigned the head of the hall. I managed the hall board and run hall meetings with the students, come up with floor events, and answer distress calls and interventions.

Pioneer Capital Investments

My team was tasked with researching into Intel's stock performance. We identified Intel's moats, risks in holding the shares, other alternatives to Intel, and so on. By the end of our research and presentation, we chose to sell off Intel's stocks and write a summary on our presentation and findings.

Pioneer Weekend

Over the span of a weekend, we had to gather a team, form the business plans and charts, identify the suppliers of our project company. We had to compete against other teams who had to pitch their ideas to judges who will rank the teams based on the research made, the need of the product/company, and the execution of the plans. This served as a recreational speed run to making a company and convincing investors.

ADIC Active Investment

I was assigned as an intern in ADIC's Active Investment and Equities department working under a PhD in Financial Engineering. Along the period, I was given the task to analyze two European managers using Factor Investing. I used both Python code and mostly Excel to project the data to visuals that implement Multiple Factor Modeling. I analyzed the factors individually, calculated alpha using MFM, inferred their strategies and showed how they were reflected from their factors' distribution and returns.

ADIA Private Equity

Under the Asia-Pacific division in PED, I worked with my manager and mentor in understanding efficiency within the department. I overtook the tasks of completing 3 statement models in under 90 minutes along with their assumptions predicted from analyzing annual reports and consolidated financial summaries. With that, I had to output proper and rigorous case studies from the 3 statement model, cash waterfalls. IRR calculations, Cash Flows, Entry and Exit multiples with their sensitivity checks. Finally, I had to present my findings to board where I was ranked second best among all the interns that presented.

NYUAD REU

Having been referred to an REU by Ahmed Almheiri in NYUAD, I gladly took up the opportunity to research the XXZ Qubit model. Along with my team, we analyzed multiple factors such as concurrence, density matrix, DM Magnetic, and Hamiltonian equations. The research is still on going and will finish within the final weeks of July where we will have a symposium for the three qubit model. (to be completed after July)

MBRSC/MIT REU

I have been solely chosen by MBRSC to pursue an REU at MIT with alumni who will be hosting a nation wide competition called Zero Robotics. The competition will aim to test code on Astrobees and code within the ISS (by simulation). My job is to aid the MIT alumni and continue on with the research and code that will be fruitful to university students within the UAE. (to be completed after August)
