Grinnell College Muslim Group Leader
As an Arab who is a devout Muslim, I decided to join Sheik Taha, who is the Imam of the first mosque in Iowa, in planning for Ramadan, setting up meetings among the Muslim students, handling the news letter, and organizing prayers.

Grinnell College Food Bazaar Volunteer
Grinnell College's Office of International Students hosted an event where international students can prepare dishes from their countries and serve them to those who attended the event. My role was setting up the tables and stations, and cleaning up the hall after the event was over.

Cultural Attaché
Grinnell College's Office of International Students was searching for a speaker to go to Grinnell Middle School and present their culture. So I took part in the first trail of the attaché and gave the students at the middle school a lecture about Eid in Arabic countries where even the teacher's attention was caught.

Grinnell College's Office of International Student Association offered me to write about myself and the city I'm from. In the Mosaic, I presented my city, Al Ain, and the feeling of living in Grinnell College as an international student.

Scarlet the Squirrel Mascot
As a member of GAME House in Grinnell College, I volunteered to be the college's mascot and take lead on the events related to the role. From Tit Head movies, to Valentine's day, I was the guy that played the part.

The Middle Of Everywhere: UAE
The Office of International Student Association requested that I give a similar presentation to the one I gave at the middle school. The topics ranged from the history of the UAE, to the culture and traditions of my home country.

The KSU at NYU joined in the celebration of Arab Fest. I tended the Khaleeji table and served Khaleeji food and drinks to those who passed by us.

Qatar Foundation Arab Debate
I joined the Arabic Debate Club at NYU, hosted by Qatar Foundation, where my team and I achieved a top 7 ranking within the Salt Lake City Competition. Throughout this experience, we engaged in rigorous debates covering a wide range of topics, including politics, education, philosophy, and sciences. This opportunity not only honed my critical thinking and public speaking skills but also expanded my knowledge and understanding of diverse subjects.
